This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Application. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By downloading, installing, or using WaveFix, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Application.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Data
We do not collect any personal data. WaveFix is designed to operate entirely on your device without requiring personal information. Specifically:
- We do not require user registration or account creation.
- We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personally identifiable information ("PII").
- We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or unique device IDs for our own purposes.
- We do not maintain user profiles or databases of user information.
1.2 Automatically Collected Data
WaveFix does not automatically collect any usage data, analytics data, crash reports, or diagnostic information through its own systems. We do not employ any first-party or third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking technologies within the Application.
1.3 Audio Data (Microphone)
The Application includes a Sound Level Meter feature that utilizes your device's microphone. When you explicitly activate this feature:
- Audio input from the microphone is processed locally and in real-time on your device using Apple's Accelerate framework for RMS (Root Mean Square) level calculation.
- Audio data is not recorded in any form.
- Audio data is not stored on the device or anywhere else.
- Audio data is not transmitted to any server, third party, or external service.
- The microphone is only active while the Sound Level Meter feature is in use and stops immediately when you deactivate it.
- You may revoke microphone permission at any time through your device's Settings.
1.4 Data Stored Locally on Your Device
WaveFix stores the following user preferences locally on your device using Apple's standard UserDefaults mechanism:
| Setting | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Haptic feedback | On/Off | Enable or disable vibration during cleaning |
| Keep screen on | On/Off | Prevent screen from dimming during sessions |
| Auto-maximize volume | On/Off | Automatically raise volume for cleaning |
| Sound meter statistics | Numeric | Min/max/average dB readings (resettable) |
This data:
- Is stored only on your device and never transmitted externally.
- Is not accessible to us or any third party.
- Is completely removed when you delete the Application.
- Can be reset within the Application's Settings.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
For clarity, WaveFix does not collect, access, store, or transmit:
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone, address)
- Location data or GPS coordinates
- Contacts, calendar, or photo library data
- Browsing history or search queries

3. Third-Party Services
3.1 Apple App Store & StoreKit
WaveFix uses Apple's StoreKit 2 framework to manage in-app subscriptions. All payment processing, transaction management, and billing are handled exclusively by Apple Inc. through the App Store infrastructure. We do not have access to your payment methods, credit card details, or Apple ID credentials. Apple's handling of your payment data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
3.2 Apple Platform Services
As an iOS application, WaveFix operates within the Apple ecosystem. Apple may collect certain data related to app usage, crashes, and diagnostics as described in their privacy policy. This data collection is managed by Apple at the operating system level and is outside of our control. You can manage Apple's data collection in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security.
3.3 No Other Third-Party Integrations
WaveFix does not integrate with any other third-party services, APIs, SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, social media frameworks, or cloud services. There is no backend server infrastructure associated with the Application.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
WaveFix offers auto-renewable subscriptions managed entirely through the Apple App Store. Regarding payment data:
- All payment processing is handled by Apple Inc.
- We never receive, access, or store your payment information.
- Subscription status is verified locally on your device through StoreKit 2.
- For billing inquiries, refund requests, or payment disputes, please contact Apple directly at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Apple Support.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Since we do not collect any personal data or usage data, we have no data to share, sell, rent, trade, or disclose to any third parties. We do not:
- Sell personal information to third parties.
- Share data with advertising networks.
- Provide data to data brokers or analytics companies.
- Transfer data to affiliates or business partners.
- Disclose data to government agencies (as we possess no data to disclose).
6. Data Security
WaveFix is designed with a "no data collection" architecture, which inherently provides the strongest possible privacy protection. Since no personal or usage data is collected, transmitted, or stored on external servers:
- There are no remote servers or databases that could be compromised.
- There is no data in transit that could be intercepted.
- Local preferences stored on your device are protected by iOS's built-in security, including hardware encryption and the device passcode/biometric authentication.
7. Children's Privacy
WaveFix is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since WaveFix collects no personal data from any user regardless of age, no special data handling provisions for children are necessary.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information through the Application, please contact us. Since we do not collect personal information, we would be unable to have any such data, but we are happy to address any concerns.
8. Your Privacy Rights
8.1 General Rights
Because WaveFix does not collect personal data, the traditional data subject rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) are inherently satisfied — there is simply no personal data held by us that could be subject to these requests.
8.2 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold. WaveFix does not collect, sell, or share any personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8.3 European Economic Area Residents (GDPR)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), WaveFix does not process personal data as defined under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Since no personal data is collected, there is no legal basis required for processing, and no data is transferred outside the EEA by the Application.
8.4 Other Jurisdictions
Regardless of your location, WaveFix's privacy-by-design approach ensures compliance with the core principles of major data protection laws worldwide, as no personal data is collected, processed, or stored.
9. Microphone Permission
WaveFix requests microphone access solely for the Sound Level Meter feature, as described in the iOS permission prompt: "WaveFix uses the microphone to measure ambient sound levels. Audio is processed locally and is never recorded or sent anywhere."
You maintain full control over this permission:
- You may deny the permission when first prompted — all other features will work normally.
- You may revoke the permission at any time via iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone > WaveFix.
- The microphone is only active when you explicitly start the Sound Level Meter.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the Application or the App Store update notes.
Your continued use of WaveFix after the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes. We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy.
11. Data Retention
Since WaveFix does not collect personal data or usage data, there is no data retention period applicable to user information. Local preferences stored on your device persist until you delete the Application or reset settings within the app.
12. Do Not Track Signals
WaveFix does not track users across websites or applications. Since we do not engage in any form of tracking, Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals are not applicable to our Application.
13. International Data Transfers
WaveFix does not transfer any data internationally, as no data is collected or transmitted from the Application. All processing occurs locally on your device.
